Requirements.

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Director of DevOps to lead our DevOps transformation and ensure robust, scalable, and efficient development and deployment pipelines. As a strategic leader, you will own and manage the complete CI/CD pipeline lifecycle, from building and optimizing pipelines to integrating test automation and ensuring seamless releases across multiple environments. You will collaborate with senior leaders, engineering teams, and stakeholders to align DevOps initiatives with the company’s broader goals.

The ideal candidate will bring 19+ years of proven experience in DevOps, CI/CD, test automation, and pipeline ownership. You should have a deep understanding of cloud technologies, infrastructure management, automation, and a passion for driving continuous improvement in software delivery processes.

Key Responsibilities.

  • Leadership & Strategy: Lead the DevOps team and oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of the full CI/CD pipeline, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability. Provide strategic guidance to senior leadership on DevOps trends, tools, and technologies.
  • CI/CD Pipeline Ownership: Own the CI/CD pipeline from concept to execution, ensuring smooth and reliable deployment of code and updates. Ensure automation of the complete pipeline, eliminating manual touchpoints to reduce risk and speed up the delivery lifecycle.
  • Test Automation Integration: Spearhead the integration of test automation frameworks within the CI/CD pipeline to guarantee that automated tests are executed at every stage of the software delivery process. Work closely with QA and development teams to ensure high-quality releases.
  • DevOps Tools & Technology: Evaluate, recommend, and implement DevOps tools and technologies, continuously enhancing the pipeline for speed, security, and stability. Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering, product, and QA teams to align DevOps best practices and strategies with the organization’s goals. Act as a liaison to ensure DevOps priorities are addressed in the overall product roadmap.
  • Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the DevOps and engineering teams. Implement performance monitoring, testing, and review cycles to identify opportunities for enhancing pipeline performance and software quality.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to the DevOps engineering teams, fostering growth in their technical skills and career development.
  • Security & Compliance: Oversee security practices across the pipeline, ensuring that security standards and best practices are adhered to, including compliance with relevant industry regulations

Qualifications.

  • Experience: 18+ years of experience in DevOps, CI/CD, and Test Automation, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing DevOps teams and initiatives.
  • Technical Expertise: In-depth experience in CI/CD pipeline design, automation, and optimization. Solid understanding of infrastructure-as-code principles, containerization, orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and version control systems like Git.
  • Test Automation Knowledge: Proven expertise in integrating automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG) into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure high-quality software delivery.
  • Leadership & Vision: Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide cross-functional teams. Ability to drive change and innovation while working in a collaborative environment.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively in high-pressure situations.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively with senior leadership, engineers, and cross-functional teams.
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Qualifications.

  • Experience with microservices architectures.
  • Knowledge of performance tuning, monitoring, and logging tools.
  • Certification in relevant DevOps tools or cloud platforms.
  • Experience in managing large-scale enterprise environments.
