Role: Sr. Quality Engineer

Band: 25 (P2) or 24(P2)
Location: Hyderabad/Bengaluru
We are seeking a skilled Quality Engineer with experience in Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance domain, particularly in BillingCenter. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in DB2 SQL, functional testing, and test automation to ensure robust validation of applications.
Key Responsibilities.
- Design and execute test cases for P&C Insurance billingcenter, ensuring compliance with business requirements.
- Perform functional, regression, and integration testing using automation where applicable.
- Write and execute SQL queries on DB2 to validate backend processes, data integrity, Data loading on PowerBuilder UI applications.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance test automation scripts using Selenium based tools.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Participate in defect triaging, root cause analysis, and performance optimizations.
- Ensure compliance with QA best practices, documentation, and Agile methodologies.
Required Skills & Qualifications.
- Domain Expertise: Understanding of Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance workflows, particularly BillingCenter functions.
- Database Skills: Proficiency in DB2 SQL for data validation and backend testing.
- Test Automation: Intermediate level proficiency hands-on experience with Selenium based tool
- Functional Testing: Experience in manual and automated testing of P&C applications.
- Agile & DevOps: Exposure to Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and tools like Jenkins, Git, and JIRA.
- Defect Management: Strong defect tracking and reporting skills using JIRA, ALM, or equivalent tools.
Nice to Have.
- Experience with Guidewire BillingCenter/Majesco Billing System
- Exposure to API testing (Postman, RestAssured, or similar tools).
